Testing is a critical part of the product development process. Force and cycle tests can simulate the conditions that a part experiences and help designers identify common points of failure. This design shows a homemade force test stand with 100 lb load capacity driven by a 12 V power supply and a Nema 23 stepper motor, all controlled by an Arduino.
