I modeled this residential air handler in SolidWorks using the sheet metal tool, which allowed me to unfold and export each part into AutoCAD. The 2D vectors, shown on slide 3, can be used to program a CNC machine such as a waterjet or plasma cutter to cut out the correct profiles.
